Dr. Medha Tadpatrikar, popularly known as the "Chief PlasticWarrior," is a TEDx speaker, author, entrepreneur, and environmental leader. Her journey began after witnessing the tragic death of a deer due to plastic consumption—an incident that turned her into an "accidental environmentalist" and changed the course of her life.
She is the co-innovator of the Thermo Catalytic Depolymerization (TCD) process in India, which converts traditionally non-recyclable end-of-life plastic into usable liquid fuel. Her first fully Made-in-India plant was built in 2010.
Dr. Tadpatrikar serves as the Director of Rudra Blue Planet Environmental Solutions India Ltd. and the Founder Trustee of Keshav Sita Memorial Foundation Trust. She has personally led awareness campaigns for over a decade, starting with collection drives in her own vehicle and growing to a network of over 275,000 people across India.
Recognized as one of the Top 30 "Women Transforming India" by NITI Aayog in 2019, her work has been featured by Discovery Channel, DW (Germany), and leading publications like The Times of India and The Indian Express. She is a two-time TEDx speaker and an accomplished author of two books.
As the current President of the Marathi Global Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Tadpatrikar is dedicated to uniting and empowering Marathi entrepreneurs worldwide, combining her business acumen with her passion for social and environmental change.
