Shirish Phadtare is a Cost Accountant by education and a passionate wildlife photographer at heart. A sportsman and avid trekker since his college days, his profound love for nature inspired the foundation of Rudra Blue Planet Environmental Solutions (India) Ltd. Fondly known as the “Vision Engineer” by his team, he leads the organisation with an emphasis on quality and continuous technological innovation in waste plastic-to-fuel processes.
As a Trustee of Keshav Sita Memorial Foundation Trust, he oversees the collection of plastic waste from more than 45,000 households, hotels, and offices in Pune, focusing on awareness and segregation at the source.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Phadtare led critical initiatives, including the distribution of masks to frontline workers and the third gender community. He bridged the gap between farmers and citizens by delivering vegetables to over 500 senior citizens and established vegetable markets for 3,500 residents. His leadership further extended to providing oxygen concentrators and supporting animal welfare during the lockdowns.
His most recent initiative, the “Tree Oxygen Bank,” reflects his long-term commitment to the planet, aiming to plant and nurture over 100,000 trees by 2030. He also holds directorial positions at Mantraa Research and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Phoenix General Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., while contributing to public policy as a Member of the Fee Regulating Authority for the Government of Maharashtra.
